This portal will allow you to submit a scientific abstract, download poster templates and formatting guidelines and submit completed posters.

We welcome abstracts related to any aspect of breast cancer research.

Preparing your abstract

We recommend that abstracts should have the following sections: background, methods, results and discussion/conclusions. If appropriate the discussion/conclusion section can be formatted in bullet points.

Abstracts should contain a title, list of authors with affiliations and a note of any financial relationship(s) with commercial interests which need to be disclosed for each author.

The word limit (main text body - not including titles, authors, affiliations or tables) is 600 words. The inclusion of one table is permitted. Figures or images are not permitted.

Abstracts should be written in Arial font size 12.

There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author can submit.

There is no limit to the number of authors.

We will also consider relevant abstracts which have been presented or accepted for presentation at San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) 2022.

Presenting your poster

You will be assigned a poster board in one of the 3 poster hall areas within the conference centre, allocated depending on the theme of your research. The posters will be displayed throughout the conference and there will be dedicated presentation time allocated. Posters for EBCSS 2023 will be printed rather than digital. We do offer a printing service which will become available in early 2023 - alternatively you can bring your own printed poster. Further details including dimensions will be provided in early 2023.

Poster Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for the two best posters at the conference by an expert panel of judges.

Scholar-in-training Award

If you are a student, scientist-in-training or physician-in-training you can elect to be considered for an EBCSS 2023 Scholar-in-training award which comes with a complimentary registration and certificate. You may be asked to provide a CV and confirmation of your training status.
